EMDR Intensives
When it feels like coming every week feels too much…
But you still want to make progress. You know there are things holding you back, and maybe you just want to “get past things.” Intensives allow for you to spend a day (or sometimes two or three) processing.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), as with most therapy approaches, focuses on the individual’s present concerns. The EMDR approach believes past emotionally-charged experiences are overly influencing your present emotions, sensations, and thoughts about yourself.

EMDR intensives are designed to help you make leaps forward in only a day or two. Instead of meeting once a week for an hour, we’ll set aside up to 8 hours (with a break for lunch) to help you make progress quickly.
-
We would have an initial call to help you start to practicing some of the EMDR strategies that we use to keep you comfortable during the intensive. I’ll want to do a follow up call a few weeks afterwards.
